Just returned from LA, where 700 pastors, missionaries, church staff, campus and community leaders from around the world participated in our Every Nation International Leadership Conference. Here are my top 10 highlights, in random order.
- Russ Austin’s funny stories.
- Early morning walks around Anaheim with my wife.
- Fellowship with old friends from all over the world.
- Testimonies from the Middle East, especially Iran.
- Different accents. My favorites include Claudio and Dunia from Peru, Markus and Nelly from Austria, Sam and Grace from Nigeria.
- In-N-Out Burger. Best fast food burgers & fries anywhere in the world!
- New missionary church plants, especially Jeff Bullock’s Budapest presentation and Josh Abbott’s Venezuela presentation.
- Experiencing the presence of God in worship with people from many—but not quite every—nation, tribe, people, and tongue.
- The Filipinos. Joel, Teri, and the Manila worship team. Joey, Manny, Jun, and the Filipino pastors. Robert, Mae, Pinky, Emil, and the Manila admin team. My Victory friends are the most encouraging people in the world.
- Great memories of what God has done in the past, and great hope of what God has planned in the future.
