 If you need any motivation to pray for missionaries serving in difficult areas of the world, maybe this will help. I recently received the following report from Michael, our Every Nation Missions Director for Asia:
When 7 bombs exploded on commuter trains in Mumbai on July 11 where over 170 people died, two of our missionaries should have been on those same trains. Jason (not his real name) was already walking to the train when he received a text message that his meeting had been cancelled. He went back home to find out that the train he was about to board blew up. Because of severe stomach pains, Alfred (not his real name) cancelled his plans and did not board the train which ended up exploding.

In early July, there were 7 explosions throughout the city of Kabul, Afghanistan. All our missionaries and workers are safe. About the same time, Henry (not his real name), a Filipino working in Kabul, had just finished teaching English to Afghan professionals at the airport; a bomb exploded 5 minutes after he left.
