I received the following email from my friend, Ron Lewis a couple of days ago.

In case you have not heard, I wanted to let you know that Harald Bredesen , our dear friend, my mentor and spiritual father, went home to be with Jesus this morning (Pacific time). It was a peaceful exit.

Lynette and I had the joy of having him along with us in Israel last month. Forty-three others were with us, primarily from MSNY. It was a precious time as he invested in every person individually. Words cannot express the profound impact Harald had on my life and soul for these 4 years. He called almost daily. When he could not reach me he would leave rich voice mails of encouragement and loving kindness.

He was the closest thing I ever knew to what Jesus would have been like on the earth. Every day he reached in faith to win a soul. I witnessed this happening several times. Every day he took time for people. Every day he prayed in the spirit... even after his brain was not functioning these last three days (according to the doctors), he was still praying in the spirit. His soul would reach to the Lord often and at times continuously throughout the day. He lived with one foot in heaven the entire time I knew him.

To my knowlege he never failed to be gracious, kind, patient and encouraging. His worldwide impact in our generation is an example of what it means to live by faith and follow the Lord even if it meant looking strange to everyone else.

I had a most unusual blessing from God to have had this rich experience of walking with Harald. He was one of a kind. By grace his legacy will continue on. Thank you my dear friends, for celebrating his life with me on so many occasions.
