Back in Manila

 Landed in Manila a couple of nights ago. Good to be back in my own apartment, in my own bed and at my own desk. As usual, I have a backlog of a million emails. Most will probably remain unanswered for the next few years. My myspacing sons can't believe I still email. When did email become old school?

As I island-hopped my way from Nashville to Manila, I had two paradise stops: Hawaii and Guam. Can the ocean really be that blue and the sunsets that colorful?  

In Hawaii I got to minister in one of my favorite churches in the world, Grace Bible Church. Pastor Norman Nakanishi and his team are some of the best in the business at reaching high school and university students with the gospel. No matter how old Norman gets, the church stays young.

After Hawaii, I flew to Guam and ministered in both Every Nation churches on the island. Sunday AM I was with Roy and Buffy Burk at Life in the Son. One problem: there is simply no more room for growth. Life in the Son continues to grow and needs a larger facility. Sunday night I was at New Covenant Life, which is led by Dale and Debbie Jackson. What an exciting worship experience - these Chamorros really know how to sing and dance.

Monday morning I met with Governor Felix Camacho and about a dozen New Covenant Life members who serve in the Guam government. I was impressed to see so many good and godly people getting involved in all levels of government service. From the education department to the police department, these Guamanian believers are serious about serving their community.
